Students and Grandparents Celebrate Faith and Family at Annual Mass and Reception

Despite the rainy weather, more than 650 Ramblers and their grandparents gathered at Loyola Academy on Sunday, September 20, for the annual Grandparent & Student Mass and Reception—a morning of prayer, connection, and celebration across generations.
The day began with Mass in the East Gym, celebrated by Loyola Academy President Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ, and Campus Ministers Rev. Stanislaw Czarnecki, SJ, and Deacon Karol Cygan, SJ. Together, the Loyola community gathered in prayer, allowing students and their grandparents to celebrate their faith and the meaningful bonds that connect generations of Ramblers.
Following Mass, guests gathered in the West Gym for a light reception filled with conversation, laughter, and time together. Over refreshments, students and their grandparents enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect and make memories on campus, with many stopping by the photo booth to capture a keepsake from the morning.
Additionally, during this year's event, Loyola Academy launched the Trinity Society, which celebrates families whose connection to Loyola spans three or more generations. The society honors these multigenerational connections and the lasting legacy, traditions, and memories that continue to connect Ramblers across the years.
Hosted by the Rambler Parent Organization (RPO), the annual gathering reflects the organization's commitment to bringing families together and creating opportunities for the Loyola community to build meaningful connections.
