The Loyola Academy Music Department offers students the opportunity to develop their talents as performers, collaborators, and creative thinkers through a comprehensive program of instrumental, vocal, and music theory study. Whether participating in band, orchestra, choir, guitar, or advanced coursework such as AP Music Theory, students strengthen their technical skills, deepen their understanding of music, and experience the joy of performing as part of a community dedicated to artistic excellence.

Theater
The Loyola Academy Theater Program invites students to explore every aspect of the theatrical arts through coursework in acting, directing, technical theater, and performance. Whether taking introductory classes or advanced honors studios, students develop creativity, communication skills, confidence, and collaboration while engaging in meaningful storytelling both onstage and behind the scenes.
Classroom learning is brought to life through two major productions each year. The Fall Play offers students the opportunity to participate in a range of dramatic and comedic works, from contemporary pieces to classic theater, while gaining hands-on experience in both performance and student-led production roles. The Spring Musical showcases large-scale productions featuring acting, singing, and dance, exposing students to a variety of musical styles and genres while fostering teamwork, artistic excellence, and creative expression.

The Loyola Academy Dance Program encourages students to develop artistic expression, technical skill, and creative confidence through the study of multiple dance styles and choreographic practices. Through courses ranging from introductory dance to honors-level study, students explore ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater, choreography, and performance while growing as artists,
Orchesis Dance Company
Orchesis Dance Company extends classroom learning by providing students with opportunities to create, teach, and perform original choreography in a collaborative environment. Open to dancers of all experience levels, the company fosters creativity, leadership, and artistic exploration while preparing for performances and participating in statewide dance events and showcases.
