A Call to Global Understanding and Leadership
Established in 2025, Ricci is a three-year honors program for students who are passionate about global affairs, social studies, environmental stewardship, and world languages. The program invites students to expand their worldview, foster meaningful connections across cultures, and think critically about issues that transcend borders.
The Ricci Scholar Experience
Ricci Scholars are challenged to:
- approach learning with curiosity about the wider world;
- engage thoughtfully with diverse cultures and perspectives;
- explore questions of justice, peace, and sustainability; and
- use their knowledge in service to others as compassionate global citizens.

Program Highlights
Global Studies, Language, & Inquiry Ricci Scholars pursue a rigorous academic path centered on world languages, social studies, and environmental science. Through Honors and AP-level coursework, interdisciplinary study, and inquiry-based learning, students deepen their understanding of the interconnectedness of cultures, societies, and ecosystems. |  |
Cultural & Experiential Learning Throughout the year, Ricci Scholars participate in immersive field experiences that connect classroom learning to the wider world. Through museum visits, cultural events, enrichment opportunities, and conversations with professionals in international relations, education, and environmental stewardship, students gain new perspectives on global citizenship and leadership. |  |
Leadership, Community, & Global Citizenship Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, Ricci Scholars are called to become women and men for others who lead with compassion, responsibility, and global awareness. Through service, reflection, and dialogue with peers who share a passion for global learning, students deepen their understanding of justice, sustainability, and the common good while growing as thoughtful leaders in an interconnected world. |  |
Admission & Eligibility Students may apply to the Ricci Scholars Program at the end of the first semester of freshman year. Applicants should have a strong academic record, including a 90% or higher unweighted grade average and enrollment in at least four Honors or AP-level courses for sophomore year. Admission is selective and based not only on academic achievement, but also on demonstrated curiosity about global issues, cultural diversity, and environmental responsibility. |  |
