Loyola Academy golfer Ricardo Gonzalez Salles '28 earned a place in the IHSA State Tournament with an outstanding performance at the sectional tournament, shooting a 71 (+1) in an extremely competitive field.

Ricardo will represent the Ramblers at the state tournament on Friday and Saturday, October 9–10, at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington, Illinois.

Loyola’s five other individual sectional qualifiers also competed well in an extremely competitive field. Although they did not advance, all six golfers represented Loyola Academy with determination and sportsmanship, reflecting the hard work and commitment of the Rambler golf program.

Congratulations to Ricardo on this achievement, and to all of Loyola’s sectional competitors on their efforts. The Rambler community will be cheering Ricardo on at state!
