Boys Varsity Golf Claims Third at Competitive CCL Conference Tournament

On Monday, September 21, Loyola Academy Boys Varsity Golf finished third out of 24 teams at the Chicago Catholic League (CCL) Conference Tournament held at Wedgewood Golf Course in Plainfield, Illinois, with a team score of 293 (+9). The Ramblers finished just one stroke behind Carmel Catholic (292) and two strokes behind Benet Academy (291) in a very competitive team race.

Leading the way for the Ramblers were Xander Schafer '28 and Mason Lalich '27, who each fired a 72 (+1). Ricardo Gonzalez '28 followed with a 74 (+3), while Dennis Roche '29 carded a 75 (+4). Jack Goering '30 rounded out the team score with a 78 (+7).

It was a solid team performance against a field of 24 teams, and the Ramblers demonstrated they can compete with the top conference teams. We are proud of how the team competed and will now focus on making a strong playoff run.
