Loyola Academy’s choirs took the stage at the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center on October 8, for their annual Fall Concert. Under the direction of Mr. Jesse Borower, with Ms. Megan Fletcher accompanying on piano, Concert Choir, Honors Chorale and Honors Chamber Singers presented a program inspired by stars, space and the promise of a brighter future.

Selections ranged from Stand By Me and Shoshone Love Song to Rewrite the Stars, Stars and Rocket Man. Student soloists and instrumentalists were featured throughout the evening, and Sophia Gripman ‘27 conducted Concert Choir’s performance of Shoshone Love Song. The combined choirs concluded with Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning, offering a hopeful closing to the evening.

Drawing on the Ignatian image of living with “one foot raised,” the program invited listeners to appreciate the present while remaining open to what lies ahead. Through music, students shared their creativity and reflected on themes of belonging, remembrance and renewal—expressing Loyola’s commitment to forming the whole person through the arts.
