Wilmette Campus

ADDRESS:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

  • From the South: Take I-94 North to the Lake Avenue West exit (34B). Merge onto Lake Avenue and stay in the right lane. Turn right at the first traffic light—Laramie Avenue.
  • From the North: Take I-94 South to the Skokie Boulevard exit (34A). Stay in the right lane and turn right onto Lake Avenue. Continue over the I-94 overpass, then turn right at the next traffic light—Laramie Avenue.
  • From the West: Take Lake Avenue east past Waukegan Road. Turn left onto Laramie Avenue. If you pass over I-94, you’ve gone too far east.
  • From the East: Take Lake Avenue west past Skokie Boulevard. Turn right onto Laramie Avenue, just beyond the I-94 overpass. 

 

 

Munz Campus (Glenview)

ADDRESS:

1901 Johns Drive, Glenview, IL 60025

Located approximately 10 minutes from the Wilmette Campus.

DIRECTIONS FROM WILMETTE CAMPUS:

  • Take Lake Avenue west to Waukegan Road and turn right.
  • Turn left onto Chestnut Avenue, then right onto Johns Drive.
  • The campus entrance will be on the right.

 

McGrath Family Performing Arts Center, Leemputte Family Theater

ADDRESS:

3461 Illinois Road, Wilmette, IL 60091

Located on the north end of the Wilmette campus.

PARKING INFORMATION:

  • Complimentary parking is available in multiple lots across campus.
  • Limited parking is available near the Performing Arts Center.
  • Handicap-accessible parking is located in the lot adjacent to the theater entrance.

Loyola Academy is accessible through a variety of convenient travel options that serve students across the Chicagoland area. Whether by carpool or public transit, families have multiple means of ensuring a reliable daily commute.

Carpooling

Loyola Academy is well-served by both Metra and CTA trains, as well as PACE buses, providing students with safe and reliable ways to get to campus.
Metra – Union Pacific North Line

From Chicago

The line originates downtown at Ogilvie Transportation Center (Madison Street) and stops at:

  • 2000 N. Ashland
  • 4600 N. Ravenswood
  • 7000 N. Ravenswood (Rogers Park)
  • Main, Davis, and Central Streets (Evanston)
  • Downtown Wilmette (closest stop to Loyola)

From the Wilmette Station

From the Wilmette station, students can board the PACE #421 bus to Loyola Academy.

From the north suburbs / Wisconsin border

Metra stations are available in nearly every northern suburb along Lake Michigan, making Loyola accessible to families across the North Shore.

CTA & PACE Bus Connections

From Chicago and Evanston (East)

Take the CTA Purple Line to the Linden Station in Wilmette. 

From Linden, students can board the PACE #421 bus directly to Loyola.

From Northwest Chicago

Take the PACE #423 bus, which departs from the Harlem CTA station (Harlem and Higgins). 

Major stops include:

  • Touhy
  • Oakton
  • Dempster
  • Golf
  • Glenview Avenue & Waukegan Road
  • Loyola Academy (last stop)

Morning pickup begins at 6:44 a.m., arriving at Loyola by 7:15 a.m. 

Afternoon departures are at 3:05 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.

From the North Side of Chicago

Take the CTA #54A bus from Irving Park Road and Cicero Avenue north on Cicero (which becomes Skokie Boulevard) to Old Orchard Shopping Center. 

Transfer to the PACE #422 bus, which travels to Edens Plaza (Lake Avenue & Skokie Blvd)—just a short walk to Loyola Academy.

Student Bus Pass
Ventra cards for reduced student fare permits for the CTA are available in the Business Office, Room 173.

Parent & Visitor Policy

  • All visitors—including parents and guardians—must enter through either the Main Entrance (Door 1) or the Piazza Entrance (Door 6).
  • Between 6:00 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., all visitors will be required to use only the Main Entrance (Door 1).
  • Upon entry, all visitors must present a valid photo ID at the security desk to receive a visitor’s pass.

Visitor Parking Policy

Visitor Parking Permits are available at the security desks located in both the Main Lobby (Door 1) and the Piazza (Door 6). You are encouraged to retain your permit for use during future visits to campus.

All visitors—including parents, faculty, staff, and students—are expected to park in legal parking spots within the designated lots whenever space is available.

If utilizing the Visitor Parking spaces in the drop-off/pick-up lanes, please note:

  • Parking in these lanes is not permitted before 8:30 a.m.
  • Vehicles must be moved by 2:00 p.m.
  • If you need parking assistance, security personnel in the Main Lobby will be happy to help.
  • If you believe you were issued a parking ticket in error, please contact the Dean’s Office at 847.920.2454.
