A beautiful fall weekend set the scene for Alumni Weekend at Loyola Academy, October 1–3. From conversations with local entrepreneurs to milestone reunions and a spirited afternoon of Rambler football, the weekend brought generations together to reconnect with one another and the school they call home.

The festivities began Thursday evening with the Business for Others panel in the Old Theater, featuring Loyola parent Emily Hikade P ’26, ’29, founder and CEO of Petite Plume, and alumnus John O’Donnell ’83, founder of Johnnie-O. Moderated by Mary Kate (Herion) Baumgartner ’14, marketing manager at Big Ten Network, the conversation explored growing and leading businesses through the Jesuit lens. Alumni, current students, current and graduate parents, and faculty and staff gathered for the event, bringing together generations of the Loyola community.

On Friday, alumni from the Classes of 1957 through 1976 returned for the Golden Reunion Mass in the Chapel, followed by brunch in Pasquesi Piazza. The gathering offered an opportunity to celebrate decades of friendship and a shared connection to Loyola. That evening, younger Ramblers marked milestones of their own: the Class of 2021 celebrated its five-year reunion at Mary Jo McGuire’s, while the Class of 2016 gathered at Glascott’s for its ten-year reunion.

Saturday brought the community back to campus for Rambler Fest outside Pasquesi Piazza. Alumni joined students, current and graduate parents, and faculty and staff for lunch, while children enjoyed arts and crafts and face painting. The beautiful fall afternoon provided a festive backdrop for the Senior Day football game, as the Loyola Academy Ramblers defeated the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack 38–7.

The celebrations continued into the evening as the Class of 1976 marked its 50-year reunion with Mass in the Chapel, followed by dinner and a reception in the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center lobby. Other reunion classes gathered for the Multi-Year Reunion Mass and class parties outside Pasquesi Piazza, making time to catch up, share memories and renew friendships.

Throughout the weekend, the familiar faces and warm welcomes were reminders of how Loyola’s community endures across generations. Thank you to everyone who helped make Alumni Weekend a success.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Lake and Laramie next year!
