Each year, Loyola Academy alumni return to campus to reconnect with classmates, rekindle friendships, and celebrate the experiences that continue to shape their lives long after graduation. Alumni Weekend is more than a gathering—it is a joyful expression of the lifelong bonds formed through a Jesuit education and a shared commitment to the Rambler community.

Whether you graduated five years ago or fifty, Alumni Weekend invites alumni to come home to Loyola Academy. Through special events, shared stories, and time spent together on campus, alumni are reminded of the traditions, values, and relationships that continue to unite generations of Ramblers.

As we celebrate the past, we also look ahead with gratitude and hope—honoring the enduring legacy of Loyola Academy while supporting the future of the students who will carry that mission forward.

 

Alumni Weekend 2026

We look forward to welcoming Ramblers of all ages back to Loyola for a weekend of reunion, celebration, and Rambler spirit October 1–4, 2026. Enjoy great food, family-friendly fun, and all the excitement of Loyola football. Alumni celebrating milestone reunions will enjoy special class parties, including the Classes of 1976, 1986, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2016, and 2021.

Alumni from the Class of 1976 and earlier are invited for Mass and a brunch reception honoring their lifelong connection to Loyola Academy.

"Back to Class" Mini Courses
12:00–1:30 p.m.  |  Loyola Academy Marillac Room
Open to all alumni, families, faculty and friends

Enjoy light refreshments and Loyola Academy swag while reconnecting with the spirit of learning at Lake and Laramie. Featured courses:

  • "Learning the Jesuit Way: St. Ignatius and the Pedagogy That Endures," presented by Jim Cleland

5th and 10th Year Reunion Class Parties

The Classes of 2016 and 2021 are invited to gather off campus for dedicated reunion celebrations with classmates.

  • Class of 2016: Glascott’s Lincoln Park  |  $50 ticket includes admission and one drink ticket. Cash bar available.

  • Class of 2021: Mary Jo McGuire’s  |  $30 ticket includes admission and one drink ticket. Cash bar available.

Saturday, October 3

Rambler Fest
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.  |  Tented Alumni Area  
Open to all alumni, families, faculty and friends

Start the morning with coffee, donuts, Loyola Academy giveaways and photo opportunities with Rambler football players, coaches, cheerleaders and Ramblerettes. Then head to the tented Alumni Area for snacks, drinks, games, face painting and Rambler pride before cheering on the Ramblers as they face St. Ignatius.

$15 ticket required. Walkups welcome. Football game admission is not included and requires a separate GoFan ticket.

50th Reunion Celebration

The Class of 1976 is invited to come together in prayer before gathering for dinner and a reception celebrating their lasting connection to each other and to Loyola Academy.

Milestone Class Reunions (2006, 2001, 1996 and 1986) 
6:00–6:45 p.m. Mass | Loyola Academy Chapel
7:00–9:00 p.m. Reunion Parties | Piazza and Gyms
Open to milestone reunion classes (2006, 2001, 1996 and 1986) and their guests

Alumni celebrating milestone reunions are invited to gather for Mass, then reconnect with classmates during an evening of memories, conversation and Rambler spirit.

$75 registration per guest required.

Sunday, October 4

Ramblers Give Back: Care Kit and Essentials Drive
10:00–11:30 a.m. | Loyola Academy
Open to all alumni, families, faculty and friends

In the Jesuit spirit of service, alumni and families are invited to support Connections for the Homeless by assembling personal care kits and writing notes of encouragement for neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Complimentary registration requested. Walkups welcome.
 


Closing Mass
12:00–1:00 p.m. | Loyola Academy Chapel
Open to all alumni, families, faculty and friends

Conclude Alumni Weekend with Mass in the Chapel. All alumni, families, faculty, friends and members of the Rambler community are welcome.

Complimentary registration requested. Walkups welcome.
 


Lunch on Laramie
1:00–3:00 p.m. | Loyola Academy Stadium Drive
Open to all alumni, families, faculty and friends

Close out the weekend with a casual lunch featuring local Chicago favorites. Alumni, families, faculty and friends are invited to gather, relax and enjoy time together before concluding the weekend.

Meal vouchers required: $25 for adults and $15 for kids. Vouchers may be purchased in advance or at the event.
