Loyola Academy Presents “Little Women” Spring Musical
Loyola Academy's Department of Performing Arts and Thespian Troupe 4729 performed the musical “Little Women”on March 8–11. Loved by many all over the world, “Little Women” is a timeless coming of age tale.
The show is set during the Civil War and follows the lives of sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March. Audience members watched as the sisters transition from childhood to womanhood and grapple with the challenges after the family’s fortune is lost. The novel is lightly based on the experience of the author, Louisa May Alcott, and her three sisters.
“Participating in the spring musical has been an exhilarating experience,” says senior Elena Kittle-Kamp, who played Marmee March. “I love that I was able to spend a few months with my friends doing what we love best. I'm really proud of the end result and I'm glad I was a part of it.”
