Boys' Swimming and Diving Succeeds at State

Congratulations to Boys' Swimming and Diving—the team finished in 13th place at the IHSA State Finals over the weekend! Luke Maurer '20, Tommy Barr '18, Ben Dukes '19, Everet Andrew '20 and Alex O'Toole '18 were named all-state athletes. In addition, the 400 free relay team—of Maurer, Barr, Andrew and Dukes—placed 12th overall.

More highlights to note:

Senior Alex O'Toole finished 8th in diving.

Senior Tommy Barr finished 9th in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 free.

Sophomore Luke Maurer finished 4th in the 200 free and 3rd in the 100 free.

A Loyola legacy is born!

Sophomore Luke Maurer now holds the second position in Loyola's swim program history in both the 100m free and the 200m free—second only to his father Erik Maurer '89!
