Girls' Swimming and Diving Results from IHSA Sectional

Congratulations to the girls’ swimming and diving team, which competed in the IHSA Sectional on Saturday. The team finished in second place with a team score of 218 points! The team qualified in diving, all three relays, and seven individual events for the IHSA state finals.

Congratulations to the following athletes who will compete in the IHSA state swimming championships in Westmont IL next weekend:

Diving: Greta Kavanagh '24, 1st place and sectional champion

200 Medley Relay: 2nd place, Maria Cheng '25, Georgia Andrew '25, Gabriella Simon '26, Sophia Friestedt '27

200 Free Relay: 2nd place, Zizi Mateja '24, Georgia Andrew '25, Sophia Friestedt '27, Reilly O’Hara '25

400 Free Relay: 2nd place, Reilly O'Hara '25, Nika Barkmeier '25, Sophia Friestedt '27, and Zizi Mateja '24

200 Free: 1st place and sectional champion, Reilly O'Hara '25 and in 4th place, Zizi Mateja '24

50 Free: 5th place, Sophia Friestedt '27

500 Free: 1st place and sectional champion, Reilly O'Hara '25 and 4th place, Gabriella Simon '26

100 Back: 2nd place, Maria Cheng '25
