MCAC Girls' Swimming and Diving Championships

The Ramblers put on quite the show this past weekend at the 2023 MCAC Girls' Swimming and Diving Championships. As a team, the program came together posting countless season, personal, and record-breaking performances. The MCAC features many of the who's who in Illinois swimming and diving. At the competition this past weekend, five pool records fell along with three MCAC Records! Featured below is a Rambler recap of the top three relays and top eight individuals from last weekend.
Diving started the program off on a high note outscoring the entire field.

Greta Kavanagh '24

  • 1st Place 11 Dive (Pool Record and MCAC Record)
  • Greta was also voted as the MCAC Diver of the Year!
Simone Abbasi '25
  • 6th Place 11 Dive
The following session featured the frosh/soph division, which managed runner up honors in a field of eight teams. This team of underclassmen serves as a strong vision of the future of LAGSD, and we couldn't be more excited and proud of all of their progress throughout the season.

The following session featured our varsity division, which was in a heated competition that resulted in the Ramblers posting 3rd place honors in a field of thirteen teams.
