On Saturday, May 1, the Loyola Academy community gathered virtually to celebrate Ramble 2021: Together in Hope and Gratitude. Now in its 52nd year, the Ramble is Loyola's single largest fundraiser benefiting the school's Tuition Assistance Program.
"Ramble Week" kicked off on Monday, April 26, with the launch of an online auction featuring golf packages, trips and exclusive Loyola Academy experiences such as spending a day with the Ramblerettes or the Ice Hockey team.
On the evening of Saturday, May 1, the live event started with performances by the Loyola Academy Choir, featuring alumnus and musician
Zachary Aldana '12, and the Loyola Academy Marching Band. Loyola President
Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, SJ, Principal
Charlie Heintz, English Teacher
Colleen Whelan and Vice President for Advancement
Bob Miller served as hosts and emcees for the evening. Auctioneer
Jason Lamoreaux encouraged viewers to bid on unique live auction items such as a week in beautiful Barbados, a coveted spot in Loyola's student parking lot, a weekend of wine tasting in Napa and more.
In addition to the live auction, the night also included two exciting raffle drawings—the 2nd Annual Tuition Raffle and the Park Your New Ride @ 1100 Raffle.
Congratulations to our Tuition Raffle winners:
First place: Alicia Fiore P '20, '23, who won full tuition for one student for the 2021–22 school year
Second place: Nicole Blazejowski P '24, who won one-half full tuition for one student for the 2021–22 school year
Third place: Alan Lasch P '23, who won one parking spot for the 2021–22 school year
Congratulations to our Park Your New Ride @1100 Raffle winner:
New this year, Loyola Academy faculty and staff created a scholarship fund that brought in over $20,000, which covers the cost of one full tuition for one year. Additionally, Loyola Academy young alumni raised $15,500 for the Guardian Angel Fund.
In total, Ramble 2021: Together in Hope and Gratitude raised over $1,000,000 so far for Loyola Academy students. If you would like to support our Tuition Assistance Program, there is still time. Please
make a donation online now. Your donation will go directly to support one of the 500+ students who attend Loyola because of generous donors like you!
Thanks to the virtual format, Ramble 2021 was a large, expansive event. More than 1,000 members of the Loyola community registered to bid and buy auction items—75 of these virtual bidders were from outside of the state of Illinois—and hundreds tuned in to the live hour-long event. If you weren't able to tune in to the live event on Saturday, May 1, you can view a recording of the program

We are especially grateful to our Chaircouples

generous sponsors and
business partners for their continued support.
