School Counselors Share Advice and Memories with the Senior Class
Each fall, our school counselors prepare a popular “icebreaker” exercise for freshmen in the early days of formation class which involves tossing a beach ball with questions written around it. After the ball is tossed, the catcher is instructed to answer the question positioned closest to his or her pinky finger. It’s a game every senior at Loyola has played, and this spring our counselors decided to revisit the exercise and create a farewell video to the Class of 2020.
“We were trying to think of something fun to do for the seniors, and I thought of the beach ball,” says School Counselor Sarah Bennett. “Why not make a video of us senior counselors playing the icebreaker ourselves?”
The resulting video captures meaningful messages from the counselors who share advice, funny stories and words of wisdom with the graduates. Watch the video here.
