Mothers’ Club Fall Mass and Reception

Laughter and good cheer abounded at the annual Mothers’ Club Fall Mass and Reception on Wednesday, September 12.
Guests mingled over refreshments before moving to the Chapel for the morning program. Mothers’ Club President Margie Koerner welcomed guests and encouraged all to become involved by signing up to help at an event or by being an “angel” volunteer

Loyola Academy President Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, SJ, celebrated Mass. He reminded us of the importance of love in our lives, citing the love and civility that was omnipresent in the first days following the September 11 terror incident seventeen years ago.

After the Mass, Loyola Academy Principal Charlie Heintz reflected on the path that led him to his new position at Loyola after 21 years serving Loyola as teacher, coach and administrator. Mr. Heintz recommended reading The Power of Moments by Chip and Dan Heath, and challenged parents to make every moment extraordinary.

Special thanks to event chairs Beth Cummins and Mary Banas Hess for a putting together a beautiful, energizing event!
