New Mural Brings Artistic Harmony to Loyola's Band Room

Thanks to the leadership of Clark Lundgren '25, Loyola Academy's Band Room now features a striking new mural that celebrates the unity of music and art. As part of his Eagle Scout project, Clark proposed and organized the installation, working closely with Principal Tim Devine '88 and Fine Arts Department Chair Pat Patterson.
To design the mural, National Art Honor Society (NAHS) members submitted proposals that were then voted on by fellow artists and student musicians. Band Director Mr. Sean McQuinn also provided input during the selection process. The winning design—created by freshman Shane Starmann, a member of NAHS—was transformed into a large-scale vinyl applique by Signarama of Northbrook and installed during Holy Week.

Congratulations to Clark and Shane on this beautiful collaboration and lasting contribution to the Loyola community!
