Rambler Fans Gather for Special Luncheon with Head Football Coach Beau Desherow '93
On Monday, August 21, members of the Loyola Academy community gathered for a luncheon at Sophia Steak in Wilmette to hear from newly appointed Head Football Coach Beau Desherow '93. A special Q&A with Coach Desherow was facilitated by Mary Kate Herion '14, senior marketing coordinator at Big Ten Network.
"This program means everything to me," said Coach Desherow at the time of his nomination. "I understand the history and tradition I am stepping into, and I look forward to working with our outstanding student-athletes and coaching staff to write the next chapter."
Since his appointment as head football coach last spring, Rambler fans have been eager to learn more about Desherow's vision and how he plans to continue the winning tradition of Coach John Holecek, who brought home state championship titles in 2015, 2018, and 2022.
"Our luncheon brought together the best in Loyola Academy athletics—alumni, graduate and current parents, and coaches—in support of Coach Desherow and our Rambler athletes ahead of the 2023–2024 season," said Director of Alumni Relations Ashley Sanks '10. "Coach understands how athletics is more than what happens on the field, but more importantly, what happens off."
A very special thank you to our event sponsors, Ryan O'Donnell '95 (Sophia Steak), Jamie Baisley '92 (Frontage Search Partners), Tim Duet '91, and Daniel Koulianos (Mill Creek Renewables) for making such a wonderful afternoon possible.
