Loyola Academy Celebrates Student Excellence at Honors Convocation
On Tuesday, May 13, the Loyola Academy community gathered for its annual Honors Convocation, a longstanding tradition recognizing students whose achievements reflect excellence in academics, leadership, service, the arts, and cocurricular involvement. Held in a spirit of gratitude and celebration, the evening highlighted the many ways Ramblers use their gifts and talents in service to others.
The program featured scholarship awards, academic department honors, distinguished scholar recognitions, Ignatian Service Learning and Engagement awards, and all-school leadership awards. Students were recognized across a wide range of disciplines, including English, mathematics, science, world languages, visual and performing arts, student activities, and service initiatives rooted in Loyola’s Jesuit mission. The convocation also celebrated Advanced Placement Scholars, National Merit honorees, and recipients of nationally recognized awards and scholarships.
In closing the evening, Honors Convocation served as a reminder that the Loyola Academy experience is ultimately about more than achievement alone. It is a celebration of character, generosity, and growth, honoring students who work hard to develop their gifts and talents and share them with their school and the larger community.
