Class of 2030 Celebration Carnival Welcomes our Newest Ramblers to Campus

On Friday, February 6, the newest members of the Loyola community gathered beneath the West Gym’s “Big Top” for an unforgettable start to their Rambler journey. The Class of 2030 Celebration Carnival welcomed incoming students and their families to Loyola Academy for an evening filled with laughter, connection, and school spirit.
From 7:00–8:30 p.m., the gym buzzed with energy as our newest Ramblers connected with one another—strengthening existing friendships and forming new ones that will grow over the next four years. Parents and guardians also had the opportunity to connect, building the relationships that help sustain a strong and supportive Loyola community.

The carnival atmosphere offered something for everyone. Students raced through an inflatable obstacle course, tested their balance in a life-size Twister game, and tried their hand at basketball and football skill challenges and mini golf. Music filled the space as a DJ kept the dance floor moving, while sweet treats—including ice cream—added to the festive spirit.

A particularly meaningful moment of the evening was a class photo bringing together Loyola alumni and the next generation of Ramblers—a powerful reflection of the enduring connections, shared traditions, and generational spirit that define the Loyola community. The presence of current Loyola students, who served as hosts and ambassadors throughout the evening, further strengthened that sense of continuity. Their warm welcome, enthusiastic conversations, and willingness to answer questions helped families feel at home and offered an authentic glimpse into daily life as a Rambler.

More than a celebration, the event reflected Loyola’s commitment to cura personalis—the care of the whole person—by creating space for belonging and community even before the first day of school. As the Class of 2030 begins its high school journey, the carnival served as a joyful reminder that they are already part of something larger: a community grounded in friendship, faith, and shared purpose.

The countdown to August has begun—and the Rambler family is ready to welcome them home.
