Nine Students Selected for Drexel University National Juried Photography Exhibition

Loyola Academy is proud to announce that Teddy Berhane '27, Philbert Berko '27, Ryan Caldwell '28, Abby Coleman '29, Joey Panfil '26, Ethan Rodrigues '27, Cash Rogers '26, Hunter Solon '26, and Minji Yang '27 have been selected to exhibit their photographic work in the Drexel University National Juried High School Photography Exhibition in Philadelphia.
The national exhibition will be on display at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design in Philadelphia from February 2 through February 28, showcasing outstanding student photography from across the country. Selection into this juried exhibition reflects not only technical skill, but also artistic vision, originality, and thoughtful engagement with the medium.

"This year marks the highest number of student acceptances during my tenure at Loyola Academy," said photography teacher Leslie Yatabe. "I am incredibly proud of each of these students for the way they challenge themselves creatively, take risks in their work, and use photography as a means of personal expression and storytelling."

Fine Arts Department Chair Pat Patterson echoed that pride, noting the broader significance of the accomplishment. "Being selected for a national juried exhibition speaks to the depth of talent and dedication within Loyola’s visual arts program," Patterson said. "Our students are not only developing strong technical foundations, but also learning to see the world with empathy, curiosity, and intention—hallmarks of an Ignatian education."

Participation in a national exhibition of this caliber places Loyola Academy students among the top emerging young artists in the country and affirms the strength of the school’s commitment to forming the whole person through the arts.

Congratulations to Teddy, Philbert, Ryan, Abby, Joey, Cash, Ethan, Hunter, and Minji on this outstanding achievement.
