Loyola Seniors Published in National Spanish Honor Society Journal
Loyola Academy is proud to recognize two seniors from the Class of 2026 whose creative work has recently been published in Albricias, the bi-annual student journal of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish Honor Society). With hundreds of submissions received from students nationwide, inclusion in Albricias is a significant academic and creative honor.
Carla Fernandez '26 was selected for her original collage inspired by the journal's theme of movies and film. Her piece thoughtfully reflects a shared love of cinema with her grandfather, weaving together creativity, memory, and personal connection. Carla's artwork can be viewed here.
Sean Gregg '26 was recognized for his poem, "Mientras el agua cae," published in the Environmental and Earth Stewardship edition. Drawing on his deep appreciation for nature and a growing awareness of God's presence within creation, Sean's poem reflects on the beauty of water, inspired in part by family trips to Michigan and the imagery of a waterfall. His work can be found here.
These achievements reflect Loyola Academy's commitment to intellectual growth, creative expression, and reflective learning—hallmarks of an Ignatian education.
