Sophomores Engage in Eating Disorder Awareness Program

As part of Loyola Academy’s commitment to forming the whole person in mind, body, and spirit, all sophomores participated in an Eating Disorder Awareness Program during their formation periods on Wednesday, October 8, and Thursday, October 9.
This important initiative was organized by Daphne Christopoulos '26 in partnership with the Counseling Department, demonstrating how student leadership and Ignatian values come together in service of community well-being. Students attended an informational presentation led by local professionals who provided valuable insights into recognizing the signs of disordered eating, promoting healthy relationships with food and body image, and supporting peers who may be struggling.

By fostering education and awareness, this program reflects Loyola's ongoing dedication to cura personalis (care for the whole person) and to creating a compassionate environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
