Celebrating the Class of 2025!

The Principal's Office and Student Activities recently hosted a variety of special events to celebrate our 2025 graduating Ramblers. The senior class enjoyed every moment of these final opportunities together as they prepared to embrace their new status as Loyola Academy alumni.
Senior Prom | Saturday, April 26
Ramblers attended Senior Prom at the Marriott Lincolnshire. Students celebrated the "Enchanted" themed event with an evening of dinner and dancing. This year's dessert selections provided seniors and their guests with multiple options. They were served mini-bites, including chocolate mousse cups, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and more. They captured memorable moments together with the highly anticipated 360 photo booth. Late-night snacks, including sliders, pizza, and chicken nuggets, were enjoyed by all before the evening concluded.

Senior Decision Day | Thursday, May 1
Senior Ramblers proudly sported spirit wear featuring the logo/name of the college or university to which they committed or plan to attend. The spirit of celebration and excitement was contagious. In the Piazza, students tapped into their creativity while decorating "t-shirt cookies" featuring their new school colors. Students also decorated paper t-shirts with their new school logo, added their graduation photo to the shirt, and pinned them to the corkboard in the Piazza.

Senior Sunset | Wednesday, May 7
The Class of 2025 gathered at Loyola's Munz Campus in Glenview wearing, once again, their selected or intended future school gear. Together, they watched a beautiful sunset, took unlimited photos, symbolically launched 25 biodegradable balloons, and lit the sky with sparklers. Continuing a tradition started last year, each senior signed a class canvas that will be displayed in the building in the coming weeks. Our new alumni can view their canvas when they return to campus for a visit. This meaningful event provided seniors with another special opportunity to connect outside of the classroom.

Senior Shirt Signing | Wednesday, May 14
In what has become a new tradition, seniors enjoyed the attention from their Rambler fans as classmates and teachers spent the day signing their uniform polos. "Anything but a Backpack" Day sparked ingenuity among the Class of 2025. From wagons to coolers, laundry bins to strollers, and microwaves to industrial cleaning supplies, unique ideas to repurpose household items filled the halls, bringing smiles and laughter to the masses. To make the day even sweeter, senior Ramblers enjoyed a refreshing Kona Ice.

Senior Tailgate Breakfast | Thursday, May 15
The early birds get all the fun. Seniors gathered in the South Lot to eat, play, and have a pre-classroom outdoor celebration. With coffee orders in hand, seniors enjoyed playing various games, listening to music, and indulging in donuts and bagels. Ramblers were ready to compete and celebrate with one another throughout the fun-filled day.

Senior Olympics | Thursday, May 15
After the tailgate, the seniors went to their last classes before heading to the West Gym for the announcement of raffle winners. All were grateful for the generous donations made by our senior parents, who provided forty-one prizes, which were perfect for college-bound seniors. Prizes included various gift cards, a microwave, a television, a mini-fridge, a Keurig, Owala water bottles, AirPods, Cubs tickets, and more. Our Ramblers then headed to lunch. With a variety of burgers, french fries, watermelon, and the infamous caf cookies, it was a feast fit for a graduate.

Senior Olympics commenced with the National Anthem, beautifully performed by Chambers Choir member Tommy Grant '25. Senior Olympics matched 21 teams of formation classes against each other in friendly competition, playing active, team-based games such as tug-of-war, fill-the-bucket, and more. Team MEDieval Warriors was the overall victor.

A special thanks to the more than 40 parents who helped ensure the Olympic games ran smoothly, with fun had by all.

Sending Forth Mass | Friday, May 16
During the Sending Forth Mass, Loyola Academy Principal Tim Devine '88 celebrated two notable award winners, previously recognized at the annual Honors Convocation, and revealed this year's top award winners. Read the full story here.

Baccalaureate Mass | Sunday, May 19

Northwestern University's Welsh-Ryan Arena was filled with Rambler pride as Loyola Academy celebrated its 115th Commencement Exercises.
