Loyola Academy Sailing Team Captures 2026 Illinois State Championship
Congratulations to the Loyola Academy Sailing Team on winning the 2026 Illinois State Championship this past weekend on Lake Michigan. The championship squad was helmed by Laura Koszeghy '26, Logan Glazier Ballog '27, Anton Johnson '29, Ana Bradley '26, and Gianna Scandariato '27, who led the Ramblers to a thrilling two-point victory over the competition.
Under ideal sailing conditions, Loyola delivered a strong performance throughout the regatta, demonstrating teamwork, composure, and skill on the water to secure the state title. Loyola Academy's JV and Varsity sailing teams compete each fall and spring in regattas across the seven-state Midwest region of the Interscholastic Sailing Association.
