Strong Showing at MCAC Championships for Boys Swim & Dive

The varsity team finished third overall, and the JV team earned a second-place finish. Velizar Filipov ’26 claimed the varsity 100 backstroke championship, while Devon Bone ’26 won the 100 breaststroke shortly after breaking Loyola’s pool record in the event during Senior Night against Fenwick. Cooper Miara ’26 was named JV Swimmer of the Meet after victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Next up is the IHSA Sectional Championship on February 21 at Niles North.
