PLC Breakfast Series Welcomes Tonise Paul
On Friday, September 28, 2018, the Networking & Professional Development Committee of Loyola Academy’s President’s Leadership Council (PLC) hosted its quarterly Breakfast Speaker Series in Chicago. Young alumni and members of the PLC gathered downtown for a tasty breakfast and a casual discussion with Loyola graduate parent Tonise Paul, president and CEO of Energy BBDO and director of BBDO Worldwide.
Ms. Paul has won numerous awards throughout Chicago and across the country including Advertising Woman of the Year, Business Insider’s 30 Most Powerful Women in Advertising, Crain’s Who’s Who in Chicago Business, YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers, Today’s Chicago Woman 100 Most Influential and Chicago Illini of the Year.
Ms. Paul discussed the importance of following one’s passion and trusting one’s gut. She stressed that no one should have to compromise their morals for their dream job. “Means should never justify an end if they go against your morals,” she advised.
Prior to concluding her presentation, Ms. Paul gave one final token of advice to Ramblers: “Be a leader even when you are not the leader.”
