Ted Wulfers '97 Releases New Track "The Cubs Won it All in 2016"
Loyola congratulates alumnus Theodore “Ted” M. Wulfers ’97, who wrote and released “The Cubs Won it All in 2016” after the team, which waited more than a century, captured the World Series title on November 2. The song, a new Sports Classic, is going into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
As a singer and songwriter, Wulfers’s initial reaction after a Cubs World Series win was to share his excitement through song. Celebrating the victory and remembering loved ones who had passed, Wulfers arrived at the recording studio at 3:00 a.m. and by 6:00 a.m. the song was mixed and ready to release.
“I hope this song brings a smile, a tear and warms the heart as much as it was writing it about this epic and historic event,” he says.
