Loyola Academy Inducts Students into Language Honor Societies

In April, Loyola Academy celebrated students’ academic achievement, cultural understanding, and commitment to global learning during the annual Language Honor Societies Induction Ceremony. Students were formally inducted into the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish Honor Society), the Société Honoraire de Français (French Honor Society), and the Classics Honor Society, recognizing their dedication to the study of world languages and classical humanities.
The ceremony honored students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship while embracing the deeper purpose of language learning: fostering empathy, connection, and understanding across cultures and traditions. Through their study of Spanish, French, Latin, and Greek, these Ramblers have strengthened not only their academic skills, but also their ability to engage thoughtfully with the wider world.
As part of the celebration, student leaders guided new members in induction traditions unique to each honor society, including the recitation of pledges and reflections on the value of language and culture in shaping compassionate, globally minded leaders. Their achievements reflect Loyola Academy’s mission to form intellectually curious students who are open to growth and committed to using their gifts in service to others.

Congratulations to all of this year’s inductees and returning members whose dedication to language study enriches the Loyola Academy community and reflects the values at the heart of a Jesuit education.
