Loyola Academy Boys Tennis Captures Fourth Straight CCL Championship

The Loyola Academy boys tennis team continued its dominant season by capturing its fourth consecutive Chicago Catholic League Championship at XS Tennis Village after completing an undefeated regular season.

The Ramblers secured the conference title with 40 total points, finishing ahead of St. Ignatius (32 points) and St. Francis (26 points).
PJ Barry '26 delivered an outstanding performance at first singles, claiming the conference championship without losing a set all season. In recognition of his exceptional year, Barry was awarded the Lawless Award as the Chicago Catholic League Player of the Year.

Freshman Arman Khadivar '29 capped off an impressive debut season with a second-place finish at second singles.

At doubles, Benny Birmingham '26 and Alex Floro '27 at first doubles, along with Johnny Birmingham '28 and Baird Summerford '28 at second doubles, rebounded from semifinal losses to earn valuable third-place finishes for the Ramblers.

John Ciaglo '27 and Will Persohn '27 dominated play at third doubles, capturing first place and adding key points toward Loyola's championship total.

The Ramblers now turn their attention to postseason competition as they travel to Niles North this weekend for the IHSA Sectionals.
