Rambler Spirit on Display for Fall Spirit Week

Rambler spirit was on full display last week as the school community celebrated Fall Spirit Week! Lake and Laramie was transformed into Grant Park for this year's theme: LaLaPalooza. Students enjoyed dress-down days and activities, including scavenger hunts, bingo, and competing on inflatable obstacle courses. Additionally, balloon toss, a flex favorite among students, made its return into the fold of Spirit Week activities.
The Class of 2029 kicked off the week of festivities with Freshman Luau on Friday, September 19, where a live DJ spun tracks for our newest class of Ramblers to dance the night away in Hawaiian shirts and leis.
Ramblers showed their spirit all week long with themed dress-down days! Neon Day on Friday, September 19, filled the halls with bold colors. "Maroon 5 and Gold" had students decked out in LA swag, nodding to the Grammy-winning band. Souvenir Day followed, with travel apparel from destinations near and far. Chicago Day brought hometown pride in the form of team jerseys, and Thursday capped things off with each class dressed in its assigned color, all inspired by artists or groups like the Black Eyed Peas, P!nk, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A rousing Pep Rally in the East Gym awaited Ramblers at the end of the week. It was jam-packed with relay races, cheering competitions between classes, and performances by crowd-favorites LA Cheer, Nothin’ But Treble, drumline, and Ramblerettes, the latter of whom also partnered with senior football players to choreograph an amusing dance routine.

The Rambler community came together for a spectacular football double feature under the stadium lights on Friday, September 26. Early in the evening, the varsity flag football team hosted Regina Dominican and shut out the Panthers 18–0. The winning didn’t stop there! Varsity football followed up with a decisive 42–14 victory over DePaul College Prep.

On Saturday night, sophomores, juniors, and seniors returned to campus in semi-formal attire for a beautiful Homecoming dance in the West Gym, and games in the East Gym, celebrating the end of an unforgettable Spirit Week.

Homecoming 2025 was a fantastic week for Loyola students, faculty, and staff. We extend our gratitude to Student Activities and Student Council for their tremendous efforts in organizing such wonderful events.

Go Ramblers!
