Loyola Academy Inducts 149 Students into Language Honor Societies

The evening began with a community Mass, after which students and their families gathered for individual language ceremonies. Each ceremony honored students who have demonstrated a deep commitment to the study of world languages and cultures, as well as excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Faculty from each language welcomed the new inductees and offered reflections on the power of language to connect people across communities, traditions, and borders.

The evening included the recitation of pledges in each respective language, underscoring Loyola’s mission to form students who are intellectually curious, globally aware, and dedicated to fostering understanding across differences. Together, the 149 honorees exemplify what it means to be women and men for others in a global context.

Congratulations to all inductees, whose hard work and passion for language learning enrich our Loyola Academy community and reflect the Ignatian values at the heart of a Jesuit education.
