The Class of 1964 Gathers to Celebrate Their 60th Reunion

The Class of 1964 celebrated their 60-year reunion this past weekend—wrapping up another fantastic reunion season here at Lake and Laramie!
"The fact that these Ramblers have stayed so close throughout these years is so special,” said Director of Alumni Relations Ashley Sanks '10. "It is a testament to the tight-knit community we are blessed to have at Loyola."

The weekend of festivities offered many opportunities for alumni to reconnect, reminisce, and have some fun together. Reunion Committee Member Rick Mancuso '64 hosted his classmates for a beautiful dinner at Ferrari Lake Forest on Friday, October 11, which kicked off this fun-filled weekend.

On Saturday, classmates got together to watch the Ramblers take on Providence Catholic Celtics (final: Loyola Academy 42–Providence Catholic 6) from their VIP seats in the north end zone. Later that evening, the group celebrated a special reunion Mass, presided by Loyola Academy President Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ. A memorial video played at the beginning of Mass offered classmates a moment to remember those who passed before them.

After Mass, alumni heard from senior Natalia Adamczyk, as she discussed how Loyola Academy has helped her explore her passions and step out of her comfort zone.

"Loyola has a special community of people where it is unlike other schools. We all come from different parts of the Chicagoland area, yet we still manage to connect, share, and learn from each other," she reflected. "I find myself in many different communities where I am welcomed and encouraged to share my experiences."

Alumni then headed to the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center for their official reunion celebration. Ramblers enjoyed a beautiful dinner and caught up with old friends throughout the evening. During the celebration, Fr. Greg gave brief remarks with campus updates and his vision for Loyola going forward.

Alumni spent the remainder of the night reminiscing about their Rambler days with each other. We hope this special weekend inspires future gatherings and the continued connection between this class. We wish to extend our thanks to the Class of 1964 reunion committee:
