Rambler Mothers Gather to Connect & Celebrate

On a beautiful evening in May, Rambler moms enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and camaraderie as they soaked in gorgeous golden hour views at Sunset Ridge Country Club during the annual Mothers Connect & Celebrate Reception. This annual event gives mothers and female guardians of Loyola students an opportunity to re-engage and welcome mothers of incoming students to the Loyola Academy community.
The reception-style event on Wednesday, May 8, provided the perfect atmosphere for mingling. In keeping with tradition, both incoming and departing mothers were honored. Senior mothers received a small frame to keep safe their favorite Rambler memories, while beautiful LA ornaments were passed out to incoming mothers.

Before heading off to the Senior Sunset, Loyola Academy President Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ, and Loyola Academy Principal Tim Devine '88 stopped by to share a few words of gratitude and encouragement to the many moms and guardians who shared their time, talents, and treasures throughout the year.

"It was wonderful to host over 200 mothers at this event!  Everyone enjoyed meeting and chatting with the new incoming freshman moms coming from many different grade schools around the area—along with a bittersweet recognition and 'so long' to moms of final graduating seniors. We look forward to reconnecting with this incredible group of moms and guardians next year." said event co-chair Missy Maher P '23, '25.

Thank you to Loyola Academy President Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ, and Loyola Academy Principal Tim Devine '88 for taking the time to mingle with the mothers. Special thanks to our many host underwriters and our event co-chairs Deanna Gresko P '24, '27; Laura Kavanaugh P '25, '26, '28; Missy Maher P '23, '25; and Kelly Sadler P '23, '25 and the many volunteers who made the evening possible.
