Loyola Celebrates the Solemnity of All Saints

The Loyola community gathered to celebrate a beautiful All Saints Day Mass on Wednesday, November 1, with Loyola Academy President Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ, presiding. In his Homily, Campus Minister Rev. Stanislaw Czarnecki, SJ, encouraged students to find joy in celebrating All Saints Day and to recognize the saints in our daily lives.
“Today is a joyful and uplifting celebration,” he said. “We remember all the saints—those canonized officially by the Church and not. Saints live among us with great, impactful lives. We are surrounded by them. May the saints surrounding us be a great inspiration for you in your life and during your time at Loyola.”

Fr. Stan continued, “When you do good and try to do it well, you are blessed. We can be saints to others. Share the goodness. Be a leader. Find the magis. Strive to put these values into action.”

“And All the Ramblers Said Amen,” a jubilant song sung by Fr. Stan on the guitar, concluded the inspiring Homily.

Beautifully decorated banners, created by sophomore theology classes, hung at the altar and depicted the lives and likeness of saints.

Fr. Greg was joined by concelebrants Rev. Stan Czarnecki, SJ, (campus minister); Rev. Charlie Rodrigues, SJ, (trustee), and Deacon Arkadiusz Ciemiega, SJ, (campus minister).
