Loyola Students Receive Medals for the National French Contest 2023
Loyola Academy is pleased to recognize several French students who performed well nationally and regionally in this year's National French Contest. Known also as Le Grand Concours, the National French Contest is sponsored annually by the American Association of Teachers of French, the professional organization of French teachers. This year, more than 43,000 students participated in the National French Contest across the country.
At Level 1, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Baskfield '26 received a bronze medal. At Level 2, John Ehlert '25 received a silver medal. At Level 3, Francesca (Frankie) Dibble '24 received a bronze medal. At Level 4, Catherine (CC) Demery '25 received a bronze medal. At Level 5, Guadalupe Vazquez '23 received a silver medal.
Loyola graduating senior Jasmine Jackson '23 submitted the winning tee-shirt design for the National French Contest that will be printed on prizes for chapter awardees.
In addition to these medalists, Loyola Academy is pleased to report that the following students were among the highest scorers on the National French Contest both nationally and regionally:
