Boys' Track Qualifies for State
Loyola qualified three individuals and four teams for the IHSA State Championship on May 26 and 27 at Eastern Illinois University. Individual qualifiers include Enoch Appiah-Kubi '24, who won the Triple Jump, William Simon '23 who took second in the 800m Run, and Henry Hartsfield '23 who took second in the 300m Hurdles.
The 4x200m Relay team of John McGuire ‘23, Emmanuel Ofosu ‘24, JT Kurtzweil ‘24, and Nick Arogdundade ‘24 took first with a time of 1:29.38. The same four athletes also qualified in the 4x100m Relay. The 4x800m Relay team of Peter Seitzinger ‘23, James Lombardo ‘23, Aidan O’Sullivan ‘24, and William Simon ‘23 qualified with a time of 8:03.03. The 4x400m Relay team of JT Kurtzweil ‘24, Henry Hartsfield ‘23, Aidan O’Sullivan ‘24, and William Simon ‘23 qualified with a time of 3:25.86.
