Loyola Brings Back a Rambler Favorite: Fall Flavor Fest!

After a ten year hiatus, Loyola Academy hosted its first Fall Flavor Fest on Friday, October 28. That's right, the popular food festival is back! As both a fundraising opportunity for clubs and cocurricular programs and a celebration of our vibrant community, it's no wonder why the Fall Flavor Fest has been so popular in the past. And, with 31 clubs participating in this year's festivities, the event is on track to once again become a beloved annual tradition.
Director of Student Activities Melissa Krein decided to relaunch the fest at Lake and Laramie this fall. "It's such a fun day for students and it's a chance for the clubs to shine and raise a little money for their group," she explained.

In true Rambler fashion, students stepped up to the plate to bring Fall Flavor Fest back to life, with over 400 students volunteering their time and talents. Student Council was at the center of the revival effort, taking charge with ticket sales, grilling, set up and clean-up. Many of Loyola's clubs participated in the event, selling a variety of main dishes, sweets, and other treats for students, faculty and staff to indulge in like DQ blizzards, wings, and Portillo's chocolate cake.

On the day of the fest, the West Gym was packed with Ramblers perusing the tasty selections of each club. Live music filled the air as festival goers were treated to a performance by a student band comprised of Malina Mandel '23, Zach Roth '24, James Casey '23, Pawl Awdisho '23, Nathan Mantanguihan '23, Oscar Moffitt '25, led by Eamon Ryan '23.
