Boys' Golf Places 2nd at IHSA 3A Regional Competition, Sends Four to State

The team advanced to the IHSA 3A Sectional on Monday, October 3, at Bridges of Poplar Creek, where they finished in 4th place with a team score of 302. The team finished one stroke behind the 3rd place team and narrowly missed advancing to the state tournament as a team. Their efforts were led by Joey Pieracci '23, who finished in 3rd place with a 72, Ryan Banas '23, who tied for 12th place with a 75, and Drew Southwell '25, who tied for 15th place with a 76. Also contributing were Grant Koehler '23, who scored a 79. Gavin Smith '23 and Patrick Rocchio '23 also competed.

The following individuals advanced to the IHSA State Tournament at The Den in Bloomington on October 7-8: Joey Pieracci '23, Ryan Banas '23, and Drew Southwell '25. Congratulations to the entire team and to head coach Sean Batti and his staff. Good Luck at the state tournament!
