Boys' Golf Captures CCL Championship

Congratulations to the boys’ varsity golf team and the boys’ frosh/soph golf team on their first place finish at the Chicago Catholic League Golf Championship
On the varsity level, the team was led by Ryan Banas ‘23, the medalist with a low of 64. Ryan broke the individual CCL record. Ryan also received the CCL Lawless Award (CCL Player of the Year). Other team scores include Gavin Smith ’24 in 3rd place with a 67, Drew Southwell ‘25 in 4th place with a 68, Joey Pieracci ’23 tied for 7th place with a 72, Grant Koehler ‘23 with a 76 and Eddie Power ‘23 with a 85. The team broke the CCL record by 10 strokes with a team score of 271. Congratulations to the entire team and to head coach Sean Batti and his staff. Good luck to the team as they prepare for the IHSA regional championship next week.

On the frosh/soph level, the team was led by Cooper Nelson ‘25, the medalist with a low of 74. Matt Christopolous ‘25 in 3rd place with a 76, Daniel Burden ‘26 with a 79 and Jack Stamatis ‘26 with a 79. Harrison Skoglund ’25 and Griffin Hungtington ’26 also competed well. The team finished with a score of 308. Congratulations to the entire team and head coach Tom Livatino and his staff.
