Golden Ramblers Reunite for Special Reunion Mass & Dinner

On Saturday, September 10, Rambler alumni from the Classes of 1952–1962 and Rambler parents of the 70s, 80s, and 90s gathered for a special Golden Rambler Reunion, which celebrates graduates from Loyola 50 or more years ago.
The evening began with Mass in the Chapel celebrated by Loyola AcademyPresident Rev. Gregory J. Ostdiek, SJ. After Mass, guests enjoyed dinner outside in the Foley–O'Donnell Athletic Commons where they heard from classmate Tom Kloempken '56, whose grandson, Luke Hughes, is currently a senior at Loyola. Tom reflected on his time at Loyola and the importance of the Rambler community and network.

Vice President of Alumni and Network Relations Marty Jennings '98 also spoke to the group of alumni, detailing the recent success of the Second Century Campaign. "There's genuine excitement about life at Loyola Academy," reflected Jennings as he highlighted the recent capital projects completed through the campaign such as the John D. Norcross ’54 Aquatic Center and the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center, home to the Leemputte Family Theater.

The Loyola Academy alumni network continues to play a vital role in the school's success. Our Golden Ramblers, especially, exemplify the meaningful experiences and deep connections forged between Ramblers during their time at the Academy.
