Ramblers Medal in National Spanish Exams

In the spring, Loyola Academy students in Honors Spanish 3, Honors Spanish 4, AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature took the National Spanish Exam. "Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious," said Lisa Greenman, National Director of the Exams, "because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 73,000 students participating in 2022."
The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).

Junior Rachel Barrientos earned a Gold medal and earned the top score for her level and category in the Chicagoland area. She earned a monetary prize from the Chicago chapter of the AATSP in recognition of her efforts.
