News from Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

We are pleased to recognize the achievement of several students!
We highlight the amazing work of Sophia Close ‘23 whose piece "La protesta" was featured in the last Albricias SHH publication.

Also, Gina Li's ‘23 digital artwork for the 50th anniversary poster contest "Valorando nuestras raíces y construyendo nuestro futuro" won her a local monetary award. All Spanish students whose teacher is an AATSP member can enter.

Four SHH students Sophia Close ‘23, Maddie Clyde ‘23, Elise Lyons ’23 and Emma Reynolds ‘23 participated in the AATSP poetry contest by reciting the poem "Hombres necios que acusáis" by Mexican rebel nun Sor Juana. All received a ribbon for their performances.

Lastly, SHH member Jilly Alfano '23 was recognized at the Honors Convocation for having won one of twenty SHH scholarship trips to Puerto Rico this summer. We wish her an amazing experience and look forward to her sharing all about it with us in the fall.
