Loyola Students Take Home Medals at the National French Contest

In March 2022, more than 12,000 French students from across the country participated in the National French Contest, also known as Le Grand Concours. In the Chicago/Northern Illinois chapter alone, close to 2,500 students participated. Loyola Academy is pleased to announce that several students received medals for their scores, representing a significant accomplishment.
At Level 1, Patrick Kozak '25 earned a silver medal, and Annie Atwood '25 and Evelyn Pricco '25 earned bronze medals. At Level 2, Ian Bogan '25 earned a bronze medal. At Level 3, CC Demery '25 earned a silver medal, and Ellie McCain '23 earned a bronze medal. At Level 4, Adam Lenczowski '22 and Guadalupe Vazquez '23 earned silver medals, and Ava Bogan '23 earned a bronze medal. At level 5, Elizabeth O’Hara '24 and Amanda Rajkovich '22 earned bronze medals.

Among the other Loyola students testing, several earned a "Certificat d’honneur," indicating that they also earned high scores on the National French Contest.

The National French Contest is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, the professional organization of French teachers. Loyola Academy’s French teachers are Cathy Kendrigan, Inna McNally, and Tom Sapp.
