Lenten Soup and Substance Series Creates New Opportunities to Learn as a Community
Throughout the Lenten season, Campus Ministry, Student Activities and Ignatian Service Learning classes hosted a special "Soup and Substance" speaker series on Wednesdays. Students, faculty and staff members were invited to gather and learn more about a topic germane to the LA community over a delicious bowl of soup in the Marillac Room.
Wednesday, March 23: Interfaith Dialogue This discussion focused on identifying common themes that are present in various faith backgrounds and was led by members of the Theology Department and DICE.
Wednesday, March 30: Alumni Panel Loyola Academy alumni reflected on their vocational discernment and the role that their faiths, religious traditions and core commitments have played in that process.
Wednesday, April 6: Laudato Si' Garden This presentation explored the Laudato Si' Garden being developed across the street from campus at 3434 Illinois Avenue.
