Scholastic Bowl News
Congratulations to our Scholastic Bowl members who have qualified for the National History Bee and Bowl. Individually, Colin McLaughlin ’24 qualified in the JV division and Ryan McKinney ’23 qualified in the varsity division. Nick Bobay ’25 and Colin McLaughlin ’24 qualified for the JV team event. The events will be held April 24 in Washington DC.
Scholastic Bowl qualified for High School Nationals in Atlanta, GA. Representing Loyola will be Mark Gonzalez ’22, River Griesmeyer ’22, Madeline Jones ’22, Colin McLaughlin ’24, Martha Santiago ’22 and Matthew Walsh ’23.
Mark Gonzalez ’22 and River Griesmeyer ’22 were named to the IHSA All Sectional team. Congratulations to both of them.
The Ramblers won their regional, defeating Elk Grove 770-30, Evanston 410-350 and York 450-190. Competing for the team were Mark Gonzalez ’22, River Griesmeyer ’22, Madeline Jones ’22, Martha Santiago ’22, Matthew Walsh ’23 and Colin McLaughlin ’24. They move on to sectionals at Hinsdale Central this Saturday. Good luck this weekend!!
