Rambler Parents Tossed Off the Winter Blues at Ramble Rouser

Friday, January 28, was a great night for Loyola Academy as we celebrated the 2022 Ramble Rouser and officially kicked off the Ramble season! Despite a heavy morning snowfall, over 300 parents and guardians gathered in the East Gym, which was festively decorated in maroon and gold for the event’s tailgate theme.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed meeting fellow Rambler parents and sampling tailgate-themed appetizers including pulled pork and beef sliders, chicken wings, potato skins, fruit kabobs and a special trail mix bar full of salty and sweet snacks.

A highlight of the event was the inaugural Rouser bags tournament. Players were paired up at random to encourage new friendships, and winners went home with their own exclusive LA branded bags set. Congrats to Brice Deer P ’25 and Jay Stevenson P ’24

Raffles throughout the evening gave parents the chance to win fabulous prizes while supporting tuition assistance at Loyola. Congratulations to the following raffle prize winners:
  • John McNeil P ’23, ’23, ’26 (LA branded bags set)
  • Celeste Lewis P ’23, ’26 (A pair of tickets to see Chris Stapleton at Wrigley Field in July 2022)
  • Jenna Summerford P ’23,’25 ($500 Amazon gift card)
  • Molly Hagemann P ’25 (Early Bird Tuition Raffle—one student parking space effective immediately through the 2022–23 school year OR $1,000 cash)

Thank you to event chairs Stacy Fitzgerald P ’23, ’25 and Maureen Loftus P ’23, ’25 for their leadership; to our event sponsor Wintrust Financial Corporation for its support; and to Broken Shed Vodka for being our exclusive vodka provider.

We are grateful for the many hands that made this event possible and look forward to seeing you at Ramble 2022: Love in Action on Saturday, May 7.
