Seniors Honored at Glenview Optimist Club Breakfast

On November 17, five seniors from Loyola Academy attended the Glenview Optimist Club Breakfast where they received the 2021 Ralph Lynch Youth Appreciation Awards for excellence in the following areas of achievement: citizenship, faith and service, scholarship, sportsmanship and vocation. The event was held at North Shore Country Club and included a delicious breakfast and gathering of honorees with family, friends, teachers, counselors and clergy.
Congratulations to Liam Zidar ’22 for excellence in citizenship; Ryan Nugent ’22 for excellence in faith and service; Emma Novy ’22 for excellence in scholarship; Molly Sipe ’22 for excellence in athletics/sportsmanship; and Drew Jimenez ’22 for excellence in vocation.
Calls for nominations went out in early October and students were notified of their awards in November.

The Glenview Optimist Club raises money for the youth in Glenview and distributes it through scholarships, youth programs, and community events.
