Making Community, A Collaborative Art Project

The arts have the powerful ability to bring communities together through collaboration, vision and shared experiences. At the conclusion of the 2020–21 school year, Loyola students participated in Sending Forth Days, which served as a recommitment to our community goals of wellness and oneness. During Sending Forth Days, Ramblers talked with classmates, shared their creativity and contributed beauty, humor and vision as they participated in a collaborative art project. Small group cohorts each created a square tile comprised of individually made round tiles. In the fall of 2021, faculty, staff and members of the Class of 2025 also created tiles.
Students helped design the installations and install the tiles throughout the building at the start of the new school year. The art installation celebrates our oneness which is made up of unique individuals coming together to form the Loyola community.
