Alumni Explore Racial Equity at Virtual PLC Discussion
In September, the Faith & Service Committee of the President's Leadership Council (PLC) hosted an hour long virtual discussion on the topic of racial equity. The event allowed attendees to learn about systemic racism, examine their own unconscious bias, and identify the many ways our faith and Jesuit education call us to action.
A special thank you to our speakers and panelists: Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, SJ, president of Loyola Academy; Ebony Scott '98, partnership director at Family Independence Initiative; Jennifer Mound Smoter, current parent and chief external affairs & communication officer at Intellia Therapeutics; and Sarah Bennett, graduate parent and director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Loyola Academy.
